Ron Paul brags of helping Kelly Clarkson sell music

DES MOINES, Iowa If Texas Rep. Ron Paul doesnt make it to the White House, theres always the possibility of becoming a publicist for pop musician Kelly Clarkson.

The Republican presidential candidate began his remarks to students at Valley High School on Tuesday by bragging about how Clarksons music sales have risen since she endorsed his candidacy last week.

They went up and bumped up her sales on her records by 600 percent, he said.

Paul made the remarks at a Tuesday Rock the Caucus rally attended by Minnesota Rep. Michele Bachmann, former Pennsylvania Sen. Rick Santorum and Mitt Romneys sons.

Also in attendance for Pauls speech was his son, Kentucky Sen. Rand Paul, who said he feels confident that his father could be victorious in the caucuses Tuesday night. The most recent Des Moines Register poll shows Paul in second place, closely behind Romney.

I think hes got a real chance, Rand Paul told The Daily Caller.
