New Song: Kelly Clarkson, 'Mr. Know It All (Country Version)'

We love when our favorite singers hit us with something completely unexpected (um, Jo Calderone, anyone?), so we're definitely feeling the latest surprise pop trend: goin' country, y'all. First Miley Cyrus released an AH-MAZING folk/country version of Bob Dylan's "You're Gonna Make Me Lonesome When You Go." And now sweet-as-pie Kelly Clarkson's "Mr. Know It All" is gettin' some southern lovin'.
While Kelly's original version of "Mr. Know It All" embraced an empowering "I'm outta here, and I'm taking the expensive car with me" vibe, the newly released country version offers a softer, heartfelt approach to leaving a relationship. Twangy guitar riffs and a gentle fiddle bring the tune into quieter territory, while Kelly's vocals remain strong-willed. But being the super-talent that she is, Kel makes it seem like country music has always been her gig -- she is from Texas, guys.
Kelly recently cover! ed fello w "American Idol" winner and pop-country crooner Carrie Underwood's "I Know You Won't" for "VH1 Unplugged," so perhaps that helped inspire a possible country career shift? Whatever's next, we're ready -- Kelly could make a polka album, and we'd still pump our fists.
