Kelly Clarkson's Album Sales Bump Despite Ron Paul Endorsement Boost Reports

In the week that ended on Sunday, January 1, 2012, it's revealed that the winner of "" season 1 only managed to shift another 25,000 copies of her latest studio installment. In comparison, the Texan-born singer garnered a bigger sales number by raking in around 41,000 units in the week before Christmas.
The album, however, did climb several spots higher on the Billboard Hot 200. It jumped from No. 39 to No. 17, but it should be noted that the album could reach higher position partly because of the chart's quiet week. It saw with 144,000 units, which was a far cry from the last week's number.
Although the overall number of Clarkson's album dropped, it's true that its digital sales was up by 232%. Yet, it's believed that it had nothing to do with the Ron Paul endorsement, unlike recently. The number increased ! due to t he album's heavy promotion on iTunes and its lowered $7.99 sale pricing on both iTunes and Amazon.
