Kelly Clarkson Performs Powerful Tribute To Etta James
Kelly Clarkson sailed through her first televised American Idol audition with a cover of Etta James' classic 'At Last', and now, 10 years later, she has paid tribute to the late legend on her US tour.
Etta sadly passed away last week after losing a long battle with leukemia.
Performing at Radio City Music Hall on Saturday (January 21), Kelly said: "This isnt At Last because everyone really covers that and so I wanted to do my favourite, actually. My favourite song is Id Rather Go Blind. So, this is for Etta."
She then belted out a flawless rendition of the 1968 song.
Stars paid tribute to James in the wake of her death on Friday (January 20), with Beyonc posting a simple "RIP Etta James" and Jessie J saying: "Thank you for your voice, your dedication."
Kelly Clarkson will lend her ample vocal chords to the Superbowl next month, when she will sing the US National Anthem.
