Kelly Clarkson is all over the charts
Kelly's new single jumps from No. 33 to No. 6 on the American Idol airplay chart this week, and that leap in airplay means Kelly's got at least two singles on three of USA TODAY's airplay charts.
Mr. Know It All holds onto the top Hot AC chart, while Stronger's at No. 22. At Top 40, Mr. Know It All's No. 25, and Stronger's at No. 30. Kelly's got three tracks on the AC chart, since her Don't You Wanna Stay duet with Jason Aldean's still a top 10 hit there.
But Kelly's not the only American Idol act making airplay inroads: Adam Lambert's Better Than I Know Myself moves from No. 67-No. 49 on the Idol airplay chart (and No. 45 at Hot AC, where it's getting the most spins). Ruben Studdard's new one, June 28th (I'm Single), breaks into the Urban AC top 40 this week.
Other Idol acts in the top 40 of one chart or another: Lauren Alaina, David Cook; Daughtry, Jennifer Hudson, Casey James, Mandisa and Scotty McCreery.
