It's as sexy as a family concert can get, and now it's back in December with a lineup that'll be music to your ears.
Antimusic reported this year's VH1 Divas lineup includes Mary J Blige, Kelly Clarkson, Jennifer Hudson, Jill Scott, Florence and the Machine, and Jessie J.
The concert will air on December 19 at 9 p.m. ET/PT on VH1 at the Hammerstein Ballroom in New York.
According to MTV News, this year's concert will honor cities that cultivated soul music, such as Chicago, Detroit, London, Memphis, and Philadelphia.
The women will do so by singing their own songs and covering classics from the soul genre.
But women aren't the only ones who will be rocking out on the Ballroom stage. The Roots will serve as the event's house band and Questlove will be the show's musical director as well.
"This year's telecast will showcase the vast impact soul music has had on the 21st century's music and pop culture landscape as our talented and diverse lineup will attest," VH1's Lee Rolontz said.
"This year's Divas offers a modern twist on soul music, all while tipping its hat to the legacy of key cities that created this musical heritage."
