Kelly Clarkson has had an exceptional music career, but she hasn't been quite as lucky when it comes to romance. In spite of her heartfelt lyrics about relationships, the first "American Idol" winner says she has never been in love! Clarkson blames her busy schedule for keeping her single for so long, but also admits that she puts up barriers to stop herself from getting hurt. The "Breakaway" singer is one of many celebrities who have admitted to having dating issues. Here are three other stars who have said they've never been in love.

Robert Pattinson

Although he has swarms of women falling at his feet now, Robert Pattinson once claimed that he had never felt that special feeling of being in love. Before "Twilight," RPattz confessed that he found it difficult to get a date, but since he has been playing the sparkly vampire, he is never short of offers! It seems as though his days of being lonely are over at last, as he has finally admitted to being in a relationship with his "Twilight" co-star Kristen Stewart. Although the "L word" has never been mentioned to the! public, it seems safe to say his luck has definitely changed!

Selena Gomez

Back in 2009, the gorgeous Selena Gomez said she didn't think she had ever been "strictly in love." Of course, she was just 16 years old then, but she wouldn't be the first teen to experience butterflies in her stomach because of a boy. Gomez is a stunning girl, and we knew it would only be a matter of time before someone snapped her up. These days, she is all loved-up with singing heartthrob Justin Bieber. So much so, that they have just adopted a dog together!

You'd think that starring in the "Harry Potter" movies would make Rupert Grint one of the most desirable guys in the world, but according to the man himself, he has never had a serious girlfriend. It isn't really due to lack of admirers, more that he hasn't found a girl who has the same "weird" interests as him. No doubt, the day will come when the perfect quirky lady will walk into his life. Until then, he remains another star who has never been in love.
