Kelly Clarkson: 'I'm in no rush to marry'

Kelly Clarkson

Kelly Clarkson has insisted that she is in no rush to get married.

The 'Mr Know It All' singer explained that she has always been reluctant to wed because compromising with a spouse "sounds like a lot of work or like another job".

She then joked to USA Today: "But obviously if I met someone like [Friday Night Lights star] Kyle Chandler, I would be willing to compromise."

Clarkson further revealed that she will likely wait a few more years before she even considers settling down and starting a family.

"I think that you should wait because first of all, statistically you're screwed. People are going to get divorced and then they're going to get married again," the star commented.

"Statistically that is what happens, especially nowadays. And like, I think if we wait until we're like late 30s, that's a good time."

Clarkson recently revealed that her fifth studio LP Stronger is the first album that her and her label both approved of.

Stronger is released on Monday, October 24 in the US and the UK.
