Kelly Clarkson 'Mr Know It All'

Kelly Clarkson has said that she had to learn to enjoy success earlier in her career.

The 'Mr Know It All' singer revealed that her tendency towards being a perfectionist often keeps her from living in the moment and appreciating career highlights as they happen.

Clarkson told MTV News: "I think I can be a very serious person, so I think me taking everything so to heart... especially when I first started out, anytime I slipped on a note or forgot a word or I'd do something wrong, that wasn't huge, [but] it was just like, it wasn't perfect. I was very much a perfectionist.

"I fight that still, but I'm a lot easier now. I wish I could tell myself 'Enjoy it', because an emotional performance is way better than a perfect performance. I think I would have told myself to enjoy it more."

Clarkson has claimed that hew new album Stronger is the first that her record label has agreed on.

She recently joked that she wants to "punch" Adele because of her talent and said that she is "in awe" of her ability as a singer.
