Need a Hug? Watch This Kelly Clarkson Video

There's a place that Kelly Clarkson knows. It's not pretty there, and few have ever gone. But going off her new video for "Dark Side," it's probably just a Jostens portrait studio underneath some highway in L.A.

The new clips posted below, and the American Idol OG has been showing the world her "Dark Side" all week -- debuting her latest Stronger single at the Billboard Music Awards on Sunday, then bringing it to the Dancing With the Stars finale Tuesday. And, befitting the song's subject matter -- those dark and twisty feelings we all keep bottled up inside -- the simple video showcases a cast of sad-faced characters, all dealing with their own personal struggle. One's an alcoholic, one's coping with divorce, one's a soldier who lost his leg in action -- and one's Kelly Clarkson. So nice of them all to visit when they probably had a Pink video to shoot across town.

In any case, any dark feeling can be dispelled with a Kelly Clarkson song -- a philosophy we've held since we heard "Since U Been Gone." And, just as added reassurance, everyone gets a hug from the singer by the end. For real.

Clarkson's on tour summer this with The Fray; they reach Toronto August 28.
