Image
Kelly Clarkson ( CMT Offstage keeps a 24/7 watch on everything that's happening with country music artists behind the scenes and out of the spotlight.) What didn't kill her made her stronger. It's like Kelly Clarkson 's own song empowered her. Just a month after turning 30, the 2002 American Idol champ and pop star has revealed a newer slimmer (and possibly stronger) figure after years of facing tabloid scrutiny over the ups and downs of her weight. And here's the secret magic formula that helped Clarkson lose the pounds: diet and exercise. She tells Us magazine she worked out five days a week and ate smaller portions and the occasional margarita. It took her six months, and she reportedly wants to lose another 10 pounds. She says her boyfriend Brandon Blackstock, who is Reba McEntire 's stepson and Blake Shelton 's manager, was part of the inspiration to lose weight. "No one likes to be not toned when you are dating someone," she said. The maga...

Kelly Clarkson: I was ready to lose weight

Kelly Clarkson insists that she finally tackled her extra pounds because she was ready to lose weight. The American Idol winner debuted her new slimmed down physique recently. She told Life & Style magazine that she lost weight for her own benefit and not because of her job. "I didn't lose weight for work," she told the publication. "I did it for me." Another incentive has been Clarkson's relationship with boyfriend Brandon Blackstock, who she has been dating since last year. "I've always fluctuated," the 30-year-old singer admitted. "But now I'm in a happy relationship. He gets my life. I'm just more active with him." Clarkson, who had been single for six years before meeting Blackstock, said although they enjoy spending time together she is not a fan of working out with him despite sharing the same trainer. "We did that once, and I don't like huffin' and puffin' in front of my man and looking all red and...

Need a Hug? Watch This Kelly Clarkson Video

But going off her new video for "Dark Side," it's probably just a Jostens portrait studio underneath some highway in L.A. The new clips posted below, and the American Idol OG has been showing the world her "Dark Side" all week -- debuting her latest Stronger single at the Billboard Music Awards on Sunday, then bringing it to the Dancing With the Stars finale Tuesday. And, befitting the song's subject matter -- those dark and twisty feelings we all keep bottled up inside -- the simple video showcases a cast of sad-faced characters, all dealing with their own personal struggle. One's an alcoholic, one's coping with divorce, one's a soldier who lost his leg in action -- and one's Kelly Clarkson. So nice of them all to visit when they probably had a Pink video to shoot across town. In any case, any dark feeling can be dispelled with a Kelly Clar...

They then take their seats in the "superstar lounge" - basically four Voice -style seats that are far apart and have their own fanc...
