Season one American Idol winner and Duets star, Kelly Clarkson is known for being a loner when it comes to close personal relationships. In an interview last year, the 30-year-old singer admitted that shed never been in love because she couldnt let anyone get close enough to her. But a lot has changed since then. For the last year, Clarkson has been dating her talent manager, Brandon Blackstock and shes had a serious change of heart.
According to OMG, Clarkson poured her heart out to Ryan Seacrest on KIIS-FM radio. She talked about how she first met Blackstock saying, We met years ago when I was working with Rascal Flatts, and he used to tour manage with them. I didnt really didnt know he was [my manager's] son and it was kind of weird. She said she just had to get to know Blackstock and then one day, We were just in a room together, and then he came up and said he was from the same hometown as me and I was like, Oh were so getting married. She explained I was so that girl. When he became single, I was on the prowl.
Clarkson talked about the love shes found with Blackstock saying that, Once you finally fall in love with someone and you are so comfortable with them, it makes you more comfortable in your skin, she told Seacrest. It makes you comfortable as an artist. It makes you more confident. Im completely head over heels for him he knows that.
She explains, Its weird how life kind of puts you in certain situations, she said. Were taking it slow, and were enjoying each other. Im from a family of broken marriages, but we will definitely break that trend one day.
