Kelly Clarkson to play Town Toyota Center

Grammy Award winner Kelly Clarkson will be in Weantchee on April 13.

WENATCHEE Kelly Clarkson, a Grammy Award-winning pop idol with more right-now star power than any act to yet hit Town Toyota Center, will perform here April 13.

The Fort Worth Texan just displaced British uber star Adele for the number one spot on Billboard Magazines top 100.

The song, an uplifting anthem called Stronger, is Clarksons third number-one U.S. single. It has been covered by the cast of the TV show Glee. Clarkson also currently holds the number 49 spot, with her song, Mr. Know it All."

Clarkson surged to fame in 2002 by winning the inaugural season of American Idol. Her debut album, Thankful, was a commercial success.

Over the past decade, shes followed it with four more albums for total worldwide sales of 24 million albums and 39 million singles.

Her powerful, country-esque vocals set to pop rock have earned her many awards, including Grammys, MTV Video Music awards, Billboard Music Awards and American Music Awards. She sang the national anthem at this years Super Bowl.

Tickets for the Wenatchee show go on sale at 10 a.m. March 5 and range from $30 to $65.
