Indianapolis Children's Choir to join Kelly Clarkson for national anthem
The Indianapolis Children's Choir has been selected to perform at Super Bowl XLVI on Sunday.
Forty-five young singers with the choir will join singer Kelly Clarkson to perform The Star-Spangled Banner on February 5 at Lucas Oil Stadium.
The choir will be led by Artistic Director Henry Leck and Assistant Artistic Director Joshua Pedde, who have led performances at the Indy 500 Festival, the NCAA Final Four games and more.The singers will perform immediately preceding the kick-off at 6:29 p.m.
Blake Shelton and Miranda Lambert will sing America the Beautiful as part of Super Bowl XLVIs pregame festivities at the stadium.Additionally, music artists Lenny Kravitz and The Fray will also be in attendance.
Clarkson and the childrens choir follows other great performers who have been chosen to sing the national anthem at one of the most-watched sporting events in history. Other notable artists include Billy Joel, Diana Ross, Neil Diamond, Whitney Houston, Garth Brooks, Mariah Carey, the Backstreet Boys and more.
