Kelly Clarkson has topped the Billboard Hot 100 with 'Stronger (What Doesn't Kill You)'.

The singer sold 237,000 downloads last week to pick up her third US number one single, ousting Adele's 'Set Fire to the Rain', which falls to two.

Clarkson, who sang the national anthem at last week's Super Bowl, previously topped the charts in 2002 with her debut single 'A Moment Like This' and again in 2009 with 'My Life Would Suck Without You'.

Meanwhile, Flo Rida's 'Good Feeling' advances from four to three, Jessie J's 'Domino' lifts from eight to three, and Tyga's 'Rack City' jumps 10 to seven.

Further down the chart, Madonna marks her 56th appearance on the chart with 'Give Me All Your Luvin'', which debuts at 13, Glee's rendition of Michael Jackson's 'Smooth Criminal' lands at 26, and The Wanted's 'Glad You Came' vaults 40 to 30.

Lil Wanye and Bruno Mars re-enter at 57 with 'Mirror', Rihanna and Jay-Z's 'Talk That Talk' lifts 77 to 65, and Mary J Blige's 'Mr Wrong' jumps from 97 to 91.
