Kelly Clarkson Gets 'Stronger' As Single Hits 1 Million Sales
Kelly Clarkson notches up a second week on top of the US Billboard Hot 100 this week, as her tune 'Stronger (What Doesn't Kill You)' logs its millionth download.
Her previous two chart-toppers, 'A Moment Like This' (2002) and 'My Life Would Suck Without You' (2009)also managed a fortnight at the summit.
'Stronger', produced by Lily Allen knob-twiddler Greg Kurstin, has now shifted 1.243 million downloads across the pond, according to USA Today. It's now a kitten's whisker behind its predecessor, 'Mr Know It All', which has sold 1.275 million.
She may not have won a Grammy on Sunday, but the album of the same name has also enjoyed a healthy sales bump, rising 51% week-on-week to a new total of 568,000 so far.
The star's duet with Jason Aldean, 'Don't You Wanna Stay', which was performed at the ceremony at the weekend, is now closing in on its 2 millionth sale, currently standing on 1.924 million.
