Kelly Clarkson covers a Carrie Underwood song on 'VH1 Unplugged' - See video

Kelly Clarkson takes the stage for a few stripped down performances for "VH1 Unplugged: Kelly Clarkson" and during her set the first "American Idol" winner is covering another successful "American Idol" champ -- Carrie Underwood.

Clarkson performs "I Know You Won't" a song from Underwood's sophomore album "Carnival Ride" released in 2007. The song was never released as a commercial single but Clarkson has covered the tune on tour as recently as las! t month. Underwood was crowned the winner of "American Idol" season 4 in 2005.

Clarkson's rendition of "I Know You Won't" can be seen below. In addition, her set will also include tracks from her recently released album "Stronger."

"VH1 Unplugged: Kelly Clarkson" debuts online on Thursday, November 17 at 8 p.m. on the Starburst Facebook page and Unplugged.VH1.com. It will air premiere on VH1 on Friday, November 18 at 11p.m.

Clarkson is the most successful "American Idol" alum and is known for fast pop-rock songs that empower women and would likely appeal to those scorned by lovers, including "Miss Independent," Since U Been Gone" and "Behind Those Hazel Eyes."

In October, Clarkson performed on the ABC reality show "Dancing With The Stars" to promote "Stronger." (see photos).
