It's good to know that despite being amongst the biggest names in music Kelly Clarkson and The Fray can show their generous side.

The two, who are currently on a joint tour of the US, paid for a crew members medical bill after he suffered a stroke.

The 57-year-old crew member was preparing to head out on the road for Clarkson's co-headlining 2012 Summer Tour with The Fray in Phoenix when he suffered a stroke and had no health insurance to cover the medical costs.

Step in Clarkson and The Fray, who generously reached into their own pockets and rounded up the $2,200 (1,375) for him.

Along with the medical costs a charitable fund has been set up to help the crew member, who is still in an intensive care unit.

Kelly's Stronger tour will finally make its way across the Atlantic to the UK this Autumn, with a string of dates supported by Cover Drive.

This year the single of the same name became her most successful tune to date in both the UK and US, outstripping 'Since U Been Gone' and 'My Life Would Suck Without You'.
