LMFAO Talk Kelly Clarkson, Party Rock Tour Backstage at 'American Idol' (Video)

The Hollywood Reporters Idol correspondent Didi Benami caught up with party rockers LMFAO at American Idol on Thursday, following the shocking elimination of Colton Dixon. In our backstage chat, the electro pop duo tells THR about their first experience on the Idol stage.

Asked whether they'd ever experienced anything quite like Idol before, Redfoo responds: "Never before, on a stage like that. They had their speakers, you know a lot of people have monitors, their speakers were built into the stage. It was a new concept for me. We were stepping on the speakers it was incredible."

Redfoo and his LMFAO cohort SkyBlu are currently preparing to embark on the Sorry For Party Rockin Tour, which kicks off in Columbus, Ohio on May 22 with featured performances from Far East Movement, Natalia Kills, Sidney Sampson and Ava Simons. "We've got a lot of great special guests on the bill," SkyBlu tells THR of the tour.

Though the duo admits that they are not quite up to speed on the latest crop of Idol contenders, they were impressed with the show's inaugural champ: Kelly Clarkson. Watch below as Redfoo flexes his vocal cords in a brief rendition of the singer's first hit single, "A Moment Like This."
