Kelly Clarkson Performs Live with Duets Partners

The debut of her ABC singing competition Duets is still six weeks away, but Kelly Clarkson has found two potential talents for her team and she's already campaigning for a win. (On the show, Clarkson will compete with Robin Thicke, Lionel Richie and Jennifer Nettles to find the best duet partner, who will win a recording contract with Hollywood Records.)

At a concert Tuesday in San Diego, the pop star, 29, surprised fans by bringing Jason Farol and Julianna Gutierrez on stage to sing with her. "I've auditioned and auditioned, and I've come down to a couple of people I'm very, very excited about," Clarkson told the crowd. "But my test for them is to put them in front of an audience."

She added: "Both of these singers are incredible, so be prepared for that."

And indeed, both Farol (in the video above) and Gutierrez (below) performed admirably with Farol joining Clarkson on the Civil Wars song "Poison & Wine," and Gutierrez teaming with her for "Georgia On My Mind."
