Kelly Clarkson to star at Endymion parade for Mardi Gras
North Texas will always claim -- and celebrate -- Kelly Clarkson, but next February, she will be treated like a queen in New Orleans, when she will ride as celebrity grand marshal when the Krewe of Endymion parade rolls on the Saturday before Mardi Gras. The krewe said she will perform at Endymion's ball at the Superdome after the parade. Mardi Gras is Feb. 12, but more than a dozen parades roll in the week leading up to Fat Tuesday. Endymion has long been known for its large and glitzy floats, and for celebrity riders. The city is sure to be hopping: Mardi Gras will fall close to the Super Bowl, which will be played at the Superdome on Feb. 3.
