own rock band

Not only does Zac Rantz love to listen to music, he is the lead singer in a local Christian rock band called Human Anyway. The name refers to the fact that "we're all human anyway," Rantz said. "We can't save ourselves. Someone else, Jesus, has paid the price for us."This is the whole theme for the band, which performs mostly original songs based on band members' experiences, he said."I joke with the band all the time that we ought to cover a Kelly Clarkson song, but they always roll their eyes and say, 'We're a rock band, not a pop band,'" Rantz said.Band member Chris Anglen said the Facebook page is typical goofiness for the group of friends."It started really small and then just exploded," Anglen said. "Now it's more than just a joke. It's crazy. Maybe he could actually sing a duet with her. That would be awesome."Fellow band member Jeremy Anglen (Chris' twin) said it would be good publicity for the band as well as for Clarkson."Honestly, this is so Zac. ... Anything he does is to the top," Jeremy Anglen said. The brothers said the date and duet is definitely something Rantz deserves for being a loyal fan so long. It would be something he could tell his kids and grandchildren, Jeremy Anglen said.Other band members are John Van Gordon, Justin Harris and Chris Crenshaw. Their first CD, "Yet to Be Determined," came out last year.

"It's hilarious because he's always had a crush on her and the Facebook thing kind of tells the story of how he would joke around with the students about how Kelly was his girlfriend."Patrick Williams, f! riend of Zac Rantz
