American Idols very first winner,Kelly Clarkson never ceases to amaze us with her achievements. Its been revealed that newly engaged Clarkson has topped the list of highest earning American Idols for 2012, over 10 years after winning the hit show. How much did she earn and who else made the list?
Kelly Clarkson has been named the top earning American Idol for 2012, bringing in an estimated $8 million, according to Forbes. We cant say that were surprised as Clarksons album ! Stronger has been a huge hit, and she has been popping up everywhere from a mentor on The Voice to singing at President Obamas inauguration. Congratulations to Kelly Clarkson!
So, who else made the list? Carrie Underwood and Chris Daughtry tied for second place with about $5 million each. Carrie Underwoods latest album, Blown Away, has already sold over a million copies, and she continues to rake in the dough from her concerts. Daughtrys 2011 album, Break The Spell,has sold over 400,000 copies, and the group continues to tour heavily raking in the dough, which Forbes claims is in the six figures.
In the next spot was season 10 winner, Scotty McCreery, who pulled in $4 million, followed by Jennifer Hudson with $3 million. Also in the top ten are: Jordin Sparks, Adam Lambert, Katharine McPhee and Kelly Pickler (tied), as well as David Archuleta and David David (tied).
