Kelly is currently promoting her fifth studio album, Stronger. The lead single from the record is Mr. Know It All.
In the video for the song, negative news articles appear on screen.
Kelly has revealed the poignancy behind the cuttings.
“They’re all real ones. All of them. Everything’s out there. We kind of nailed everything. I think after ten years of doing it, I just brush it off my shoulder. But it was more so, he came up with this idea that ‘you don’t know anything about me’ as the theme of the song. Justin Francis, the director, came up with this idea, and I was like, ‘You know what would be even better, if we used actual headlines, cuz that’s funny,’” she laughed in an interview with Kyle and Jackie O radio show.
“I am invincible now. Kind of like Superman!”
Kelly recently posted ‘Can’t wait to find a man who thinks I’m freaking awesome!’ on her Facebook page. The 29-year-old star has revealed her intentions to find a man who she wants to make her priority.
“That’s true – I should write that everyday! I find a lot of guys that are really great, I just have never been into a guy so much that he makes me want to put my work on the backburner,” she said.
“I don’t have a type. My previous exes are all very different. They’re all musicians, but that’s just because of the line of work I’m in. That’s the problem. I’m not a picky person, but I have standards. What I want in a guy is very normal stuff.”
Kelly Clarkson: 'I'd love to audition for The Voice'
Kelly Clarkson has revealed that she would like to audition for The Voice.
The singer, who won the first series of American Idol in 2002, admitted that she "loves" the talent show and would prefer to audition than be a judge.
Clarkson told Digital Spy: "I love auditioning. I so want to audition for [The Voice] and see if I can get the chairs to turn around!
"There's something gratifying about just challenging [yourself], about seeing if you can do it."
Asked if she would consider a judging role on the programme, she said: "The thing I love about The Voice is that they're more mentors - they're not judges. I would never really want to be a judge... just because I don't want to break people's hearts!
"What's great about [it] is that you just don't turn your chair around. You don't have to be mean to them, you just stay put! I love that aspect of it."
Clarkson releases her new album Stronger - which she recently described as "very soulful" - on October 24 in the UK and a day later in the US.
Kelly Clarkson interview: 'I'm too shy to ask for collaborations'
Along with Will Young, original American Idol winner Kelly Clarkson has proven that not all reality talent show winners have the shelf life of a dairy product.
Following the success of 2009's All I Ever Wanted, Clarkson returns next month with her fifth album Stronger, trailed by confident lead single 'Mr Know It All'.
We met up with the star to talk about the LP, who she'd most like to collaborate with and whether a long-awaited UK tour is on the cards.
